Hello to all here,

I finally replace the upper bumper with 3 racing's carbon version. My problem is that the droop grub screws goes thru a alu blk. How to secure the screw in position? Thread lock don't seem tight enough. Appreciate your advise. Thanks.

I used the blue threadlock which seems to work OK because when its dry it creates a kind of residue that holds the screw in place and yet you can still adjust.

If yours is too loose maybe try the teflon thread tape that plumbers use.

I did try with the blue thread lock. Will try your plumber's tape suggestion which I think should fix it for good. Thanks for your quick input!:)

Btw, can anyone comment on 710 plastic quality? my front upper arms now got a fair bit of play from pure wear and tear- caused by the king pin hole being enlarged as I checked it carefully. Visual checks, you can tell it's affecting the castor. The car has done about 1 gallon, no severe crashes or knocks. I just feel it's not the 950R plastic quality or maybe even the 705's.......
Other than this, it handles great!

Is it new? When I got it brand new, I was careful enough to thread it properly as the holes were kinda loose. It was easy to strip the thread if you forced the grub screws in slightly slanted.

Yes it's new. The thread is fine, grub screw is in straight. Just have to use plumber tape. What did you use to hold the grub screws in place? Thanks.

Are you sure you're not crashing a lot? We drive our cars almost every week and there's only minimal play. Definitely less play than that coming from the MTX-3.

I use blue threadlock. I also use a longer grub screw in place of the short ones that were given.

Try this Goldfingers method, apply a bit more of thread lock to the grub screw, screwed it in and take it back out. Let the thread lock dry by itself on both parts then install the grub screw again.
