I have checked them and they are not worn.

Another question that got me
They actually wear on the inside of the outdrives and you cannot see the wear, stick a dogbone into the diff and see if you can turn it.
Another thing B4, when you car is on the starter box and you rev it does the rear jump up and down?
I know I am persisting, but this is the only rear end problem I have experinced with the car in 8 months

I have got my 710 handling fairly well but I'm having some difficulty with the following.
On exit from a slow or slow/medium corner i have to be careful with power delivery or the back end of the car will spin around. I'm running the following
front ball diff (medium)
yellow front springs
red rear springs
Rear diff set loose

Are these clutch assemblies done on the same engine, Mark? Are is this a new engine you're fixing the clutch on? Not every engine is the same. Some may have more spacing than others.
Anyway, check to see how your stock old flywheel sits the same distance on the brass cone with the same shimming on the engine.

Yes, agree with you here. The dimples in the outdrives are difficult to see if you do not know where to look. These dimples "catches" the dogbones and prevents them from moving sideways int he outdrive upon suspension compression. When this happens, the rear suspension binds and makes the rear end hook !
And the rear end jumping up and down on the starter box when you gas the throttle is a sure sign that the outdrives are worned out.

Perhaps the reason why it only had 0.5 mm A-B measurement is because the flywheel now sits more outward due to slightly smaller hole diameter that sits on the brass cone... Just guessing.

I'll look into it.
I need to get my car finished off first, so I can tidy up or else GF won't like it

Additional to what the other guys have said, make sure that you are getting drive to the front wheels, i.e. that the front diff is ok and the front pulley is connected ok.

Yeah somebody I know tried to drive the car with rear wheel drive only !
Mark
I noticed you are running the standard bell housing, any overheating problems with the bearings and the shoe's?

When I was at the AMCC in the UK, I had Sow have a look at the clutch and he couldn't see what was wrong.
I use the yellow shoe with the standard spring. Clutch gap of about 0.6mm and 0.1mm endplay.
You believe this could be due to overheating?
