I think I had the clutch gap set too small and there was too little end play.
This time I rebuilt it with a 6mm clutch gap - as best as I could measure it and left, as Glenn recommended, 0.1mm endplay. To ensure I got 0.1, I added 0.1 spacers until there was no endplay and then removed the last added spacer.

Lets see if it makes a difference
It should make a huge difference.

I find that when both my centax clutch and the 2-speed clutch has been cleaned, things a re just .... so much faster!

Mine binds badly. I figured that's the reason why my car does all that wheelies over small bumps on straights. It effects handling badly...

Try unscrewing the set screw that holds the hinge pins on the lower arm. You'll be surprised at how free your arms can be but it's a little dodgy though. I'm doing that to my car and so far so good.
Crashed, I could kiss you!!! well, not quite, Your idea works perfectly with the set screw on the hinge pins I didn't even have to turn it one quater of a turn and the front suspension "un-binded" Thanks!!!! Mark.

What with that and now that I've set my throttle linkage to actually use full throttle instead of 4/5ths I should be unbeatable!!!!!!!!!!!!

Parking lot will probably have less grip than a propoer track so putting in the front lock is a good idea.

Onkel Sow, it looks like your clutch is slipping excessively. I once set my clutch that way and after one session of playing an hour or so, I could see that the clutch shoes wear a lot. When I set it correctly, my clutch shoes still remain the same (no excessive wear) except some glazing on the shoe surface.

Perhaps you like it that way because of the driving style but I guess that's the downside. Some people let it engage aggressively and like them that way. Maybe harder to drive even. If you set it to engage correct, you will not have the clutch wear out.

PD, nice pic ! But I think you need to ask Mark for a trial version of his dirt filter to clean what's on the carb of your engine. From the pics he's been posting, it looks like it works pretty well. I suspect the one he gave me was not working well (whether on purpose or not I don't know... ).
