I just couldn't figure out why they had set their bottom end setting on the engines so lean, but they sertainly pulled a lot of cars on the long strait and sweeper. |

Originally posted by tomkelley Brandon was front one way most the time, not sure if he went to the locked for the main, my guess is not because he was using one way in qualifing. Also, I thought that he would be using solid front because the last major race he raced the 710 with one. |

Originally posted by InitialD Thanks for the setup details. ;) Much appreciated. Can't wait to see those engines. Did they use stock carbs or put Nova ones? |

The new S720,
Sorry for the crappy picture, the new camera is at home. |
Originally posted by Pyramid The new S720, Sorry for the crappy picture, the new camera is at home. Damn, I must now get myself one because of these new things that they include.  A side note, I noticed from a friend's plastic front upper bumper brace from Serpent that he replaced was REALLY much thicker. Kudos to Serpent for staying true to their word. Performance through evolution.  |

Originally posted by markp27 The new diff collar - what is the difference between the new one and the old one? |
Originally posted by InitialD Ummm, I think the same thing what Rene is trying to achieve with the grooves and the grease?:sneaky: Should make the setting of the diff not so sensitive. |
Droop discussion
D, where you responsible for starting this discussion in one of the forums? I'm sure it has something to do with the Ring!
Take a look at the Xray T1 Forum - Someone asked why the droop screw needs to be reset due to tyre wear. I've explained why, but no one seems to understand what I'm saying :( Are we discussing different things? |

If they are still stubborn and do not want to listen to you  , point them to the MASTER.
http://www.mytsn.com/publ/publ.asp?pid=7107 Especially this part; Other things to change.... If you change tire size but compensate for it using the above method you will need to do something else. When you use smaller tires you will need to raise the car to get the same chassis clearance. When you do this you will change the position of the suspension. If you were to raise the chassis a lot you could end up with the suspension reaching the downstops and not going further. So if you really want to adjust things correctly, you need to change the downstops too. You can use the same trick as above. If you run for instance 4mm smaller tires than what is in the setup sheet, you need to change the downstops by half the difference. So if the setup sheet calls for a 7mm rear downstop you'd need to set 5mm if you were to run the small tires. |
Re: Re: Droop discussion
Originally posted by InitialD Of course it has to do with the RING...  Well, I guess it's just different interpretations. Both are correct. I think the guy sees the droop as in the value you get on the droop gauge. That is fix and does not change when tire wears down. Chassis uptravel however changes.:D Damn. A typical case of having to clean your own shit...    |
