Have you got the Winternats DVD from Ray Wood? This is better than anything you can download.

So to get the steering without traction rolling they cut the rubber on the inside and superglued the edges. Brian got around this by using the front way lock option. He shoved two pins in there and taped them shut, so that why I offered to lend him my parts that don't protrude from the one way. He didn't cut his tires like Brandon.

You can also see the tuning option on the lower arms to shorten the wheelbase. It is not in use as you can see the spacer behind the lower arm.

Thanks for the info, Tom!

So I take it that once the guys had got the steering they liked for the track, the cars started to traction roll and therefore the use of either the locked one-way or narrower tyres.

This is not true at all it's just something I saw on mytsn.com It's kinda funny but in other ways its not.

Serpent is designing the new SERPENT 995-R 1/8 4WD During the interview last wednesday 25th August with Michael Salven ( engineering chief at Serpent Ltd. ), he told us that the new MRX4 1/8 from Mugen on the market, has triggered us to develop a new model for 1/8 category, the new 995-R 1/8 4wd. 'Michael Salven' - '' Our car, the 950-R, actually is very poor respect the new Mrx4, at the past Dutch Championship , our drivers finished 2 seconds down the new Mrx4 and that's too much time . If we want to be at the same level for next world championship, we had two options , to improve the 'old' 950-R or to design and develop a new one. We think at the end of september we could have it already finished on C.A.D. and we could begin to test the first unit at middle of October. Next monday two engineers from Xray will arrive Serpent factory to help us to design a new suspensions. Armand Van Tal , the second engineer at Serpent has left of the side the development of the 1/10 720 Touring to work 24 hrs. per day with the new design of the 995-R. -- We want to be the Number 1 , gain ''.

Amsterdam 28th august 2004 John Van Der Mann t in other ways its not.

Pieter bervoets made a collum in which he stated that it's a total b#llsh*tstory. Just read his collum on mytsn.

i used the locked one way option but my setup wasn't quite dialed as Brians.

Here's one pic of Brian and Dave Berry and the 710 with body on.

Both are running Mazdas, right?

Yes, they seemed to prefer them, and so did Hara. I ran the HPI stratus, but I had some difficulty getting it to pass tech when I tried to wedge the body. Art Carbonell gave me his mazda to try out and I liked it enough to put it in the main. The difference wasn't too much noticable during practice though.

I also tried the parma alpha, and it actually felt really good, I just didn't like how it settled on the chassis and the bumper spacing.

Wet weather tyres

Hello everyone

well it seems to rain every sunday morning here! I was just wondering which is the best wet weather tyre to use on a damp track?

Thanks

Brett

Interesting to see that he trued his front tires with an inside grrove. Why is that?

The guys who run latex here in the UK seems to prefer Pit Shimizu threaded ones for the wet. :)

To fight traction roll. Less front contact patch = less front grip

I've only experienced traction roll since moving to the UK ... was quite surprised when everyone told me that the source is the traction up front!

I was working hard to get lots of steering but obviously there's a limit. :D

that too, also traction in rear on throttle mid corner we were rolling, so the harder 3mm or 2.5mm rear bar was used. This can be expected at larger events when there are lots of cars laying rubber on surface, the bite is so much we were running 42's and superglueing the tires front and rear.

Hi after some time without giving you some info how the Snake is doing in Panama, on Sunday 22 for the first time one of the Expert f our club run with a 710 (which I help him build to avoid any mistakes), I was not able to run because I was in Chicago.

The result was that he had first place with TQ and broke the club record in that track (the short one), hi was running before a R40, so now we are three 710 and two Impulse in the club and making history.

I will be running this Sunday so we will see how it will go, my 710 is doing very good so I hope I can get a good result.

I just finish building my second car (710)

the other reason is there is a minimum tire diameter rule and a minimum tire width rule. Trimming the tire to minimum diameter on the inside allows you to still be legal and run a narrower front tire.
