I was actually thinking about that evo3 p9. It's reasonably priced and I have been impressed with the picco. We don't see many of them in the off road section. However I got a couple after running my trinity draked. I love them and I'm a RB guy.

Isn't that 2013 pipe just amazing? The damn thing doesn't care what kind of motor you put it on, it just flat out runs like mad.

I'm one of the new to 1/8th drivers at VORRA ( not new to nitro or on road) run electric mostly now but got MRX3 to see how it compares to a 1/12 on carpet. You should really try and make the trip up. Also if you could get something going in NC that would be great. Possibly we could link up VORRA and what ever you come up with there. We already have a friendly rivalry with 301 in MD, another track in the south would be nice. I have yet to run my car. It has a OS VZ-R verII on it, and I'm told it's lacking topend but to start I think it'll be good for me, plus parts is cheap!
Hope to meet you you this race season,
Tim

First question is what engine is for this particular car. second question is what is the ummmm difference in the engines as far as performance. You know us offroad guys basically it's a .21 and that's it. Just pick your brand break it in and go. do you guys get into ports count like we do? I also see $700 engines what's with that.

HHHHHelp!!!!
If you have .21 offroad engines then you can start with one of them, just use an onroad exhaust.

What's the difference in an off road and an on road exhaust. Is it the chambers?

The main difference is the manifold, it is shorter with an onroad and has a different angle.

You could also have a look at its faster brother IDM, together with the 2013 its extremely fast and powerfull. Bit loud tho...

This engine also goes well with the 2033 kit.

would it matter then if you had an on road pipe on an off road motor?

The shorter exhaust system will push up the rpm of the offroad engine, not as much as an onroad engine has due the lower exhaust port with the offroad but it will fly.
The offroad will have a stronger bottom end and is for sure the ideal engine for short tracks

On short tracks I run my Mugen/JP combo wit 16/19 on the clutch (normal is 17/20) but an offroad engine with 17/20 is running great as we have tested. Lots of bottom power and enough speed and a very good runtime. Only on large tracks due the shortage of high revs you will lose some performance but there is enough power to try a different gearing.

Many of the newer offroad motors have a lot more timing in them then they used to. Still not quite as much as an onroad mil but close. I've seen RB C3 and C4 offroad motors run very well on short onroad tracks. Might not cut it at 301 but definitely gets the job done at Richmond.

Flip, we run a tight track and I just sold my C6 BB because I hardly run my buggy, which I only bash with. I have a Sirio Kanai 3 .21, should I give that a bash? Literally sold the motor yesterday
