SL6 = gear box is for the 733 EVO/TE

My bad......

correct my question.

What is the major advantage of new TE SL8 gear box over 966 evo gear box?

Is it worth to upgrade?

*Current I am driving 966 evo, and the drive shaft isnt 8mm.

Thanks!

It has a lighter overall rotating mast which significantly improves acceleration, also have a better/stronger 2nd gear carrier and new design front one way flange.

On the serpent site you will see all the part#'s you'll need.
Which version of the 966 are you looking to upgrade? Is it an Evo or a 2010 kit? Because in order to upgrade to the SL8 transmission you have to have the Evo rear end.

Hi,

The 2 drive cups that goes into either side of the front 1-way... i just noticed today, that when i throttle... the cups move outwards... i pushed them back in... throttled.. and they moved out again.. i am not sure if they move so far out that it hits the drive shaft... but does anyone have this same experience/problem?

+1 Serpent cars perform very well. Serpent has one of the best costumer services and you can always get support from the factory drivers. Plus one of the best shops for parts around. Kamikaze. Sam has everything you will need!

Car is straight-forward, easy to work on. Nothing strange or complex about the design. It just works! Parts are relatively inexpensive and abundant in available sources. Well supported in Asia, North America and Europe.
