Default Bearing Eccenter Part # Clarification

Hi Guys.

After racing my 966 last weekend, I must've been 'kissing' too many track pipes with the front wheels and have damaged 3 out of 4 front bearing eccenters (the ones that insert into the Steering Block #903233).

From the manual, i'm seeing that the replacement item is part #909396, but the Serpent website does not call these up for that application??
http://www.serpent.com/product/909396/
Is there an ally upgrade for this part, as it seems to be a weak point?? I lost a front wheel/axle assembly during the main due to this part failing.

I see there is part #903160 ally bearing eccenter, but I beleive this is an upgrade for part #903118 (the bearing eccenters for the front one-way axle).

The one-way runs a larger OD bearing #1347 (12 x 21) rather than the wheel bearings #1346 (12 x 18).

Can anyone clarify what the ID of the ally bearing eccenters are please??

Thanks in advance. Tom

You guys with the new transmission system got no such problem as described?

I hate to say it but i have had the same problem with the 733 TE gear box the 3 screws came loose after 1x race meeting and during the 2nd race meeting i stripped 2nd gear then after close inspection the holes were elongated. replaced the spur and stripped after not even 2 min on the track so i changed the 2nd spur gear holder and hope this fixes this issue. But by reading this thread 1x other person and myself are the only one who has had this problem so i hope its just a freak mistake on our behalf

Default SL8 gear box vs SL6 gear box.

Currently I am running my 966 evo with SL6 gear box.

Is it worth to upgrade the SL6 gear box to SL8 gear?

What is the major advantage of SL8 againist SL6 gear box??

pls advise.

Thanks.
