I think the biggest difference was the steel diff gears, and a few other things. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi Guys,

Have been running the Plus 12-3sct with a 2652 pipe combo for the last year in my MTX5, but have struggled on getting 5mins of runtime (even with gas cooler) and poor bottom end acceleration. Recently switched to a Max Power 2649 pipe and very impressed with the difference. Now reaching almost 6mins and the bottom end is ballistic! The 2649 really makes it scream!

Has anyone else noticed this with the 2652 pipe? Is it thirsty?

Cheers,
Mick

If it's the pipe I'm thinking of, yes terrible fuel economy, I could barely make run time with anything I had mine on.

I'm getting ready to put together a new MTX5 and have a question about servos.
How does the car balance laterally with standard vs low profile? I'll be using a LiPo battery.
Thanks

well it depends.. which high voltage (low profile) servos are you thinking about using?. I use low profile servos on my 5 and the balance is alot more even then running standard size servos... I have tried both setups and there is a big difference on control of the car. With low profile I find it easier and more reactive

I haven't decided which way to go but these might be an option:

Do you have any recommendations? I suppose I could use LiFe.

If I were to choose a low profile servo, it would certainly be those. Also use the 7.4 lipo for the power especially on steering.

good choice.. there is a slight modification you will need to make inorder for them to fit correctly... the platic servo holder (inculded with kit) is really tight around the servo wire area when you try and put both servos into the holder.. You need to slightly modify the servo case where the screws are put in... If you use standard servos the wire coming out of the servo will not be an issue becuase the servo is larger and the wire is lower on the servo... msg me if you need more info on this.

Hey guys,
Any reviews from the high traction chassis? How it affects the car handling?
Tracks in Greece are low to medium traction and I am wondering if this chassy is suitable for us.
Thanks
