My car worked with all the old stuff, only adding a rear brace. The car it's not fragile. Only the upper arb/bumper support is made weak. Don't crash and it's not an issue. Bottom line, it's a great car! Rc mushroom has the original kit for 350 , so that leaves you plenty of room to get whatever upgrades you want. Get yourself one.!

By the way 350 is almost half the price of a cap, and you have to give credit where credit is due. The cap is a revised NT1, where the mtx5 is totally new. Nothing copied. New designs always have slight kinks. Good thing we have forums like rctech, where people can share their experiences and solve issues.. Love my 5!

I just check RC Mushroom is selling the T2001 not the T2002 for $359.99

T2002 is going for $499.99 on Mushroom

correct,i was referring to the t2001. Even as such it's still a good deal. At 359, it leaves room for whatever combination of fixes that work for you. From what i hear the t2002 does not solve the issues. So get the original, one piece engine mount, brace, and whatever other 7 dollar items and run. Now if they ever make a t2003, it should also contain the new chassis and engine mount, then we would be talking about something. Just me thinking out loud.
