Default th. servos

do you guys ever bust a throttle servo in a ld3?I keep busting mine...3x!i dont know whats wrong,all settings are ok, no over travel of servos,no forced servos either!!!!...what gives???!!!and oh, all are digtal servos,but not metal gears.any help is greatly appreciated.

If everything is set up correctly no reason the servos should be failing...

what brand?

I run 5 KO's and one Sanwa, never had a problem yet (touch wood). Used in tournig cars & 1/8 buggy..

that is why Im having a hard time figuring it out....jr ds811 servos.now im just going to use standard ones.I love the car! everything is ok but the th servo issue.

Only thing I can think of is your working the brakes to hard, overloading the servo?

you might have set the saver too stiff or the steering servo is of lower quality (less torque)...........

Manticore, I didnt know the throttle servo had a servo saver :P

Are you using the rubber mounts on the servo and not over tightening the screw?? the throttle servo is very close to the engine and gets a LOT of vibrations...this is usually enough to cause an early death for most servos.....

Also if you are using the std or Pro chassis...make sure the bottom of your servo is NOT touching the chassis...suspend it higher about 1mm off the chassis......otherwise it gets a lot of vibrations up the arse!!
