the new parts for the fw are now available from japan...

im using light blue fronts, white rear, heavy rear sway bar, RRR front sway bar(lighter) 37 shore tyres and the cars great.

I took in easy in the final as sometimes the brakes locked the wheels and then they would just vanish (zero brakes) then a few laps later they would work again.
I got as high as 4th after doing just over 7 minutes before my first pit stop but then no brakes at Ashby meant I dropped to 8th but picked up again at the end finishing 5th.
I will have to strip the car as I don't know if the problem is the brake or the servo breaking down, shame really as the car was very fast and easy to drive but you need the brakes 5 times a lap at Ashby.

I use the kit supplied grease or Tamiya AW grease. The AW grease is nice because it stays on the gears longer.

Diff Locking Clay
I think this is the stuff the Kyosho drivers were using to lock their front differentials at the Pre-Worlds.
You can find it at RC-Union for $4.00

Had to take the rear diff apart on Sunday as one of the cups got badly hooked (original part - 1 year old), while it was apart I inspected the wear on the Kawahara Diff ring and ......... it looks like new, not even a scratch.
Either it's made if good stuff or the Tamiya Moly grease (the black stuff) really works.
