Hey you guys I took my R-40 for a spin and hit a post on the side with the tuned pipe. Now it is all bent. Is there a way to fix it or am I going to have to bye another one?
It's pretty bent, I think I'll order a couple just in case

Some say fill up the pipe with water, plug up the other end and then put it in the freezer. Try it and if this doesn't work get a new pipe. I set my R40 up with the new gear. Anyone run the adjuster nut tighter than stock to get better acceleration? One person said he ran it looser than stock and the acceleration is better. I ran mine and from the start it seems the engine revs a bit on the ground before going. Gonna try tightening it and running it for a bit sometime later on. BTW the stock foams look way better than my GRP foams

so All I have to do is put water in it to see if it expands or something?
ok I'll try that later. I wonder if instead of water I put coke to see if the gasse make it expand?
I use the nut a bit tighter and it works great.

lets see a pic of the pipe.
I have a question. On my car, What is a good spring combo. Right now Im using the silver/chrome springs and I feel they are too soft for my liking. What would be a good combo for a medium to high traction surface with moderately tight turns?

sorry tried fixing the pipe and put some soda in it to see if it expands in the freezer.
When it comes to suspension setup, I use the stock shocks and they work great

ok, I diudnt get any instruction manual when I got my car to find camber/toe in but I will try to tell you. I know my rear is toes in mabe 1 or 2 degrees, front is no toe in. Camber(if this is measured by inserting the clips ontothe pivit ball arm location, then I am pretty sure I am at 1 degree camber front and either the same in the rear or at 2degrees. Ride height, I am at 5 in the front and 6mm in the rear.
Any suggestions for a medium bite track with medium tight turns?

If it's not a bumpy track, I would try 4mm front and 5mm rear try to put the rear toe in to 2.5, no toe in in the front and if you cant go fast through the turns, use 2.5 camber in the front and rear to help you go through the corners a lot fa

if you are a serious racer, one that's going to compete all the time and want your car to perform to it's best, I'd go with the set up station, otherwise get the camber and toe in tool for $7.00 from duratrax at towerhobbies. other tools you will need are to see the ride height front and rear, but that's about it, the station has everything and is more professional, but it's gonna cost you like $250 bucks.
