Let me put this in perspective for you.
In a 2 stroke engine turning 38,000 rpm the piston stops and start 76,000 times a minute, thats 1266 times per second or every .001266 seconds. so if Force equals Mass times acceleration a 40 gram piston and 60 grams of the rod at 14 MM stroke adds up to a big azz force on the crank (1.7 kilos)trying to jerk it in half every second.
Power out per displacement is on the order of 8.3 horses per cubic inch.
Blown top fuel engines make on the order of 10.0 HP per cube
Lasts 4.5 seconds before the rods come out
Nothing naturally aspirated comes close to the power our engines make per cube, not even close. and people cant figure out whay they come apart from time to time.

Thats a loaded question, so I will take the fifth and give you the best answer there is.
Its the one that gets the job done for you at the best price and quality level you can afford. This is the real truth and anything else is just an opinion and everyone has one. I know its not what your asking for but I would not be giving credit where credit is due with any other answer as there is alot of good mod and unmod stuff available out there. While it is true that there are a great many trying to buy a spot into the A main the reality is that the baddest engine going only matters if your at the level of driving that you can actually apply it to the pavement effectivly. At that point it makes a significant difference otherwise it may actually be slowing you down.
Regards
Dennis

Thanks for the explanation Dennis. When I got into this hobby, I was actually surprised at how much of power per weight ratio these tiny engines put out on the car. I think it's close to what the F1 engines are putting out. And yes, the price you pay for these tiny little engines...
So the best engine for you will be the engine that you can handle best That explains a lot of your driving everytime you go out on the track <j/k>

Shops selling MAXes
Which online shops sell Novamax engines ?

Yes, I have heard of cranshafts breaking at the inner engine bearing. It could be due to anything... Fuel (not enough lubrication), lean conditions etc.
The Rody engines are FAST. One of the faster engines out there with the exception of custom hand mod engines. Even surpassing the JP.
kitracer mentioned that he bought the NovaMax for HKD 2200. Streetprice is HKD 2400. Anything more is a ripoff. Do you own conversions... But the prices of RC stuff that we are getting here are already expensive. The LHS needs to make a buck or two and considering that, it's still pretty reasonble considering some HK online shops out there that are willing to sell more than USD 400 for the engine alone
