Not that anyone cares... I will not be able to make the next race. I have some family matters. And no it is not the honey do list from my wife... While she does not understand the love I have for racing, she does support me to go and have fun....
Hope you guys have a great race and I will try to make it to St. Louis, but this trip is very questionable, since I have to go to Jackson, MS in Oct. to run the next Bass Pro race...

Another proposal I would like to make is; to allow 4 strokes, in approximately a 2:1 displacement ratio.
That is, a 1/8 scale 2-stroke is a .21 c.i. So a .42 or smaller 4-stroke would be allowed. For 1/10, OS makes a .26 for surface use. That is a little over the 2:1 ratio, but I would like to allow it anyway. From all reports, It would have no performance advantage over the 2-stroke we currently employ.

Sounds interesting, but This doesn't sound practical because the cars would require such different internal drive ratios, the only chassis i know of that has a setup for this is the v1rrr.
However, just for kicks, I've heard of the OS .26 4 stroker, but are there any .42 4 strokes? Or what about a .56 for GT?

OS made a .40 for surface use (now discontinued). It was intended as a .21 2 stroke replacement. I have one of those and a .26 as well. I have never started either one.
In the engine forum there is a thread with a lot of info on 1/10 TC w/4-strokes.

Sorry you can't make it to Toledo Barry. We'll see you at leisure Hours then I guess since I'm staying home from St. Louis. We'll be chasing Ira around Toledo anyways....that should be fun! We always seem to find something to laugh about at these races.

You take the Indiana toll road to the Ohio turnpike.
I suppose you could go up to the skyway and come across that way, but I bet that 94 will be open by Friday. Southern alternatives are Rte. 6 and rte. 30. You can go north on rte. 51 from either of those, up to the Indiana Toll road.

I just came from Southlake Mall. I went north on 51from 30, then east on 10th street to county line. Then north to 6.
Anyhow, I think the best thing for the Illinois guys to do is to angle north and get on the skyway, which turns into the Indiana Toll road. Another alternative would be to go south on 394, then take route 30 east untill you get to Valpo and take 49 north to the Toll road.
Once you get past the Southlake mall area, it's smooth sailing to Valpo.
