ttektek:

What do you have your failsafe settings on.

Pcm receivers are notorious for losing signal. Most of the time the setting is to take it to idle.

Maybe yours is different. Just a thought.

to find out, Try another receiver (non-pcm) and see if you have the same problems.

or......

keep it where it is.

I have set my fail safe to full brake both on the radio and on the fail safe.

Can I use any reciever from a different brand as long as its 40 Mhz?

Default JR Radios

I ahve never heard of anyone having good luck with JR's equipment of any sort. I had a Jr radio long ago. It was their race version, their very first Digital radio. My every other radio system has been Airtronics. Never had a problem with them. Try another manufacture trans and receiver in original locations and see if it still happens.??

You should be able to use at very minimum another JR receiver that isn't pcm. Most radio systems will let you use other brands of receivers as well. Just use your JR crystals if you try it. And make sure to turn your radio off of PCM mode.

good luck.

rbboy,

Nice looking car. However, let me warn you: those yellow ball cups on the front look suspiciously like the GPM pieces. If so you are going to be very disappointed; those ball cups pop off at even the slightest hit and will cause you nothing but aggravation. I'd look at replacing them as soon as possible.

With a one way, there is more oversteer and the setup works best on a long, flowing track. If you have a tight track you are racing on, buy another standard diff.

hey bballer! yup its an aluminum front shock tower by gpm, the engine is an rb i just placed a carlsen head to bring down the engine temp. by 20 deg. farenheit... it burns back here in the Philippines!!! however i think kmac is right with his comment with the steering ball cups by gpm... i mean i haven't run the car yet coz its new and i can easily remove the ball from the cups, will be putting back the stock cups instead before i run the car! happy racing ya all!

The ball studs that you are using may be too small for those ball cups
