27/55 is the tallest currently available without playing with pulleys.

Haven't seen any aftermarket gears yet.

Sp Racer tells me he always shim's his engines when he goes to Qld.
Better keep an eye on his Kyosho shaftie.

No Gav, I'll let you be the one looking at his 'shaftie'.

Speak to Rob Reade, he advises people to add a .1 shim to the JP's. I think he said basically the same thing. So you can't be too far wrong.

alana07 this track is the Brendale track located in Brisbane Australia. It is one of the top 3-4 tracks in Australia and this facility is truely world class. One of the top Aussie driver Chris Reade has raced extensively overseas and he still says that this track is one of the best he has raced on.

I can feel the love

Well I am glad that I get some agreement, I have always found it works for me nicely. I actually ran a novarossi #7 standard plug at Brendale and people looked at me like I was nuts. But again Finchy can vouch for the top end my motor has. Bit soft down low, but once the motor heat soaks in 30 degree ambient and 60 degree track conditions the colder plug sure does help.

yes by running that extra copper shim you are rasing the combustion chamber and there for you motor will run a little cooler result in more top end then loose a little bottom but this can be fixed by your gearing and clutch settings so there for amg is correct!

ok thanks pal, Helles track at NSW also had a similar dog leg turn before the main str8, confuses me though. i had been to Helles track once, quite a nice track though.

In the past shafties have struggled around Brendale. Of course most of them were NTC3s. It will be interesting indeed to see how the FW performs around there. Punch and acceleration tends to not be a dominant factor on this track, it is pretty much a raw horsepower track. But there is a short technical section which rewards a car with decent steering.

Very neat, dtm.

I particularly like the "tail fins" on that shark pipe.
