So far so good at the Winternats. Josh Cyrul with his Motonica in 2nd after round 1, with a pretty fast run.

Novarossi powered...359 I think.

It's still early in the week, and there are at least 4 more rounds to go, but to put a car in 2nd with a fast 25 lap run the first time out is impressive for both car and driver.

I didn't get a chance to talk to him yesterday. The week started out well, with him making the second fastest qualifier only to be dq'ed for being underweight. The car had been teched earlier and it was above weight, so something must have happened in between.
Still qualified 10th, but something went wrong in the B and that was that. Still not bad first time out with the car, there's always next time.

Nobody was saying much, but there appeared to be some questions about how the car was suddenly underweight.

I heard the front swaybar came loose and the car took a hard hit. No suspension damage. I believe only the front body mount was broken.

There are no "Questions" about his car being underweight. The car comes off the track, the tank gets emptied and the car gets set on a triple beam scale, the scale is set to ROAR minimum weight for 1/8th scale, either the car raises the bar to show it is as heavy or heavier that the weights on the scale.

Josh's car did not raise the bar after the run. Did a stick on weight fall off during his run?, Did he bring the car up earlier to weigh and not realize it had some fuel in it? Maybe a full size set of tires when first weighed?? It's hard to say, but there is no question about the weight.

The top guys at this race are the best in the world, and I certainly would put Josh in that group and they run the car as light as they can (Hmm, brain says that there is something to take notice) A body change can make the difference. A motor change... weighed a Novarossi and a RB, 35 gram difference. A world of difference for this level of racing. We DQ'ed a lot of guys for weight, this is probably the toughest track in the world on the car and we find lots of lead laying around the track afterwards. Who they came from ....no one knows.

Those are examples of the questions I was referring to Chris. Sorry if anyone misunderstood. The car made weight and then suddenly was underweight and Josh couldn't figure out why.

hey folks........

here follows a very good setup for non-US tracks, what I mean is a track without VHT coating, so ultrahigh traction is not there......

this settings are for an open an fast flowing tracks with a very fast "S" rigth after the main straight.......
