If you go to Stormer Hobbies and do a search on the rear springs, they come back as springs for the T1 Evo 2. I can't find the front springs part number anywhere on the Web, so I my guess is, that they are unique for the car.

Why do the springs need to be unique for the Nt1 when the shocks are the exact same part numbers as the T2? Here again my ignorance, but what would be the purpose of having shorter springs for the same exact shock? :confused:

Ah, I didn't see the spring part #'s in the manual the first look-through; they haven't listed them on our price list yet.

Everything that starts with a "30" is directly from the electric series (all the rears); everything starting with "33" is new (all the fronts).

Longer springs can have the same lb rating, but feel softer on the car. It's just another adjustment possibility.
XRAY probably determined that longer rear springs puts the NT1 into a sweet spot setup-wise.

I think I know what it is... On a T2, is the ride height relatively the same all the way around? I noticed that on the T2 07 parts list, the springs come in 4 packs and there is no distinction between front and rear, hence why the NT1 need unique springs just for the front:

But still, is there a distinction between front and rear springs on a T2 or can you use the same springs on all four corners?

On RRR and MTX-4 we have different length front and rear springs...

No distinction (now). Front & Rear springs are now the same for the electric series.

The old T1 electric cars did use different front and rear spring lengths...somewhere along the line they were actually repackaged Serpent springs AFAIK.

I 'was' the same, I have 720 new and old plus enough spare to build another. ( i was still running it last week and preparing for China National next week :D )
After I built the Xray, I was not so sure I would be running them again. Just the first tank yesterday told myself, ...why bother going back.

You can copy a design but I dont see anyone, at least from nitro co., can copy the manufacturing quality of this Xray anytime soon.

I am just too happy of a customer.

Had my first run of the car today.....it is soo smooth compared to the RRR. Not quite as much steering but u have no trouble with a loose rear end. I am really impressed with the car, it is very strong too! ;) Will continue running the car as i believe its better than the Kyosho!, Cheers

The guys that have built and ran this car... Are you running the spool in the front and what diff oil in the rear?

out of the dozen raced today, almost all of them run spool.
Some used 60K and some used 80K rear (this is Xray oil)
The fastest Xray ran Spool and 30K rear( serpent oil)

But today race, TQ & won by a 720! using standard BOSS engine... beating all the Xray and other with team engines.... Racing is fun :D

No matter how good the manufacturing quality is, the driver is still the number one determining factor in the outcome of the race. ;)

Some questions for you, if you don't mind...

- What cars did the other NT1 drivers drive before switching to the NT1?
- How was the traction?
- Do you have a picture of the track? Was it sweeping or technical?
