NT1 Gurus assistance required!

Hi

Tried to install my STS into NT1 tonight and found the gear mesh tight with it. At first I thought it might have needed shims behind the collet, but that really made no difference. Is it simply a case of the holes on the crank case being different? And is there any other way to adjust it?

I ended up taking it out as it will just strip being that tight.

Help appreciated as always

Thanks
Andrew

First try loosening the upper engine mount screws and then re tighten them wile you are still pulling the engine apart from the spur gears. If still to tight just widen the mount holes on the engine's case.

I thought that might have been the case, bit of an over sight by Mr Hudy with his design. It would be easy to address with a revision to the chassis plate and some different mounting screws like Capricorn has done with the C01/C02.

I've found that having a little adjustment in the upper mount made up for a slight variance in the spur gears..A little tweaking made for smooth static rolling.

Interesting Xray release a lower engine mount now.. this should have been included in the 2012 kit. their is no point running the 2012 chassis plate with the standard engine mount as it just give syou a massive gap under the engine.
