actually rc America has the news 2 speed spring in stock, that and the clutch spring are to soft that comes with the kit. most guys are running the msr or orion clutch spring. thats about the only little issue on the car . the is super tuff, very little extra parts needed to run this car.
true, i found the mugen super hard spring has an internal diameter slightly too small, the orion crf spring fits better.

Body choices
Is there particularly good body for the NT1? Stratus 3 maybe? I was running the Kawahara Accord with the MTX4 and it was a great fit for small tracks. The Kawahara IS250 was a nice stable body for bigger runs.

A good servo. Brushless so it will last and it takes less juice which means longer run time. The bad thing is the BLS451 is a heavier servo than the 9451 or 9452. If you've lightened the car up somewhere else though you may still be okay on weight.

2 speed spring
hi,
just so i understand a little better, what does the two speed spring have to do with the clutch problem? i.e. how does it effect the engaging, slipping then engaging problem?
thanks in advace

It doesn't, I think some people were confused on exactly what clutch you were having your problem with. The kit centax clutch spring will do just fine, but if you wan't more snap then yeah I would recommend the MSR, or the JP spring. For now just take like half of a turn of tension off of the adj nut. The thing with the stock spring is that some people try to put so much tension on that it begins to bind itself and become inconsistent. Also what endplay are you running? Make sure that the endbell screw is not coming loose.

Like Diatta, I also prefer the JP hard spring. Fits perfect and has a consistent and linear (hard or soft) engagement, depending on how much tension you put on it. Lasts a long time to.
