huskerfreak: In my opinion, the evo conversion kit works great. It focused on the areas which are difficult to access when you are doing maintenance on the kit especially on the area where you connect the steering servo lingkage to the servo. Also, the new shocks work great. I also noticed that there is more flex on the chassis with the new top deck. Kyosho also addressed the braking issues with the previous RRR WCE The new brake pads are more consistent. I also like the new mainshaft layout. Much easier to work with Just my 2 cents

yeah the new shaft is soo easy to work on because everything uses a set screw to hold onto the shaft not a pin like the wce.
also the new shaft has a flat spot where the side pulley fits so if you can find a side pulley that uses a set screw instead of a drive pin then it can also be used to mke it even easier!

Thanks for the all the good info. So where can I buy the conversion? Or do you have to buy the whole new car now? I thought I read that they discontinued the conversion kit?

That is good to hear. Did you get the EVO WCE already? I was planning to get one last December but instead I opted for the Novarossi Plus 12-3 SCT engine and Nova 2630 pipe with the complete manifold set (5, 6, & 7 fins)

Default V1RR Evo Help

Guys, i know this is the RRR Evo thread, but was hoping someone could help me out with a question i have in adding the RR Evo upgrade kit to my V1RR.

In step 18 on building the 'rear' shocks, the instructions say to replace part 91 with 130B. (it's the bottom spring stop, that sits on the replacement 5.8mm ball end).

I've already used the 130B parts on the front shocks, and don't have an additional set. They weren't included in the upgrade kit, and is indicated in the instructions p10 as not being included (as per the cross). I don't remember getting 4 x 130B in the original V1RR kit.

Any help would be great, thanks in advance.

Default Gears

I am also meant to replace the gears on the clutch bell.

How the hell do you get the original ones off???

They were installed with threadlock, and i'm nearly cutting my fingers here
