50th Anniversary Celebration.
The details have been worked out, at the next race, the 4th leg of the 50th running of the Midwest Nitro race, bring your appetites. Flying Swine BBQ and PitMaster Dave Meyer will be catering in a FULL Fixins Pulled Pork Meal for the entire group free to the racers and familes. We've ensured there will be plenty for racers and non-racer pit/support staff as well.
Thanks to Al Carrier for helping line this up and to locals Rocky Harris, Tom Heywood, Steve Elam and S & A Designs for there support to help make this possible.

Matrix Returns to Theaters for Its 20th Anniversary
You really make it appear really easy together with your presentation however I in finding this matter to be really one thing which I feel I might by no means understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very vast for me.

The season has been an eventful one with ups and downs, from the loss of Dave Strausbaugh, various health issues with racers and racer families, and the loss of one of our few remaining tracks. Through it all our tight knit community has come to together to support one another as needed. It truly is a pleasure to be apart of a group with so many helpful and genuinely friendly people.
The final race of the season has come and gone. The 5th race at Cincinnati saw some good competition and a few surprises including mother nature cutting the mains a little short. Overall it was great season with a lot of close battles on the track.
1/8th Pan car saw a solid, consistent performance from One Eighth Racers of Toledo competitor Thomas Schmidt take a convincing win (and becoming a new Daddy), with TriState RC Auto Racer's own Rene Young showing her experience to hang on for an awesome second place overall and the ever youthful Lon Burling rounding out the season podium in 3rd. In addition we saw great performances from Noah Bellville, Dave Willey, and Joe Tuttle.
1/10 Sedan was blessed with some top talent all season long with no fewer than 2 World Champions competing for the coveted Midwest Series 50th Anniversary awards. 1st place was dominated all year by Ralph Burch but he saw some serious challenges from Jeremiah Ward and Chris Doseck. Second place came down to the last race of the year with Doseck in second and Ward chasing. With Ralph already securing the season and sitting the last race out, it was Ward with the TQ and win to move around Doseck to take second. But it was not by any means a 3 man race for the season, Ted Hammer and David Dunn put in some hard effort to chase them all summer long, Jason Conley proved he can wheel more than an 1/8 scale, and the second half of the season saw Mike Johnson really picking the pace up and running with the front runners. Next year is sure to be epic with these 6 or 7 drivers returning.
1/10th Masters had Tom Esposito once again taking the overall with Elliot Hart nipping at his heals all season. These two not only battled hard among the masters, they were ever present with the open class rankings to ensure everyone worked harder and pushed themselves to be that much faster. The final race saw Team Nitro driver Nick Altieri put together a charge to take that 3rd spot on the overall series podium. The shortened 5 race season likely effecting the challenges from the other front runners, Rich Sudantas and Dave Berry, I'm betting next year will see a tight race in masters.
1/8 Open was a feat to watch with top talent and more World and National champions competing. The season started off with Lon Burling II and Brad Mergy fighting it out, till Lon stepped aside for an RC break. That did not mean Brad had it easy, Brian Berry found his pace and chased hard all season. The end result saw Mergy holding on by a hair to take the top step and Brian securing 2nd with always fast Ted Hammer snatching that 3rd spot. Mike McBride narrowly missing the podium and Jason Conley one of the few to field 2 classes and race at the top of both.
1/8 Masters is probably the epitome of experience laden fields. Combined these guys cover the entire history of RC nitro racing. This year saw a bitter sweet double victory for last years series director Dwight Smith battling on and off the track. He manage to endure chemo and radiation, forcing him to miss 1 race. To his credit he has a good prognosis from the doctor and if any thing it seems to have made him fight even harder on the track. Dwight took a well deserved win for the series as well as a great run at GLC and a 3rd at ROAR Nationals. Chasing Dwight, putting up a hard fight and Laser Products front man, we had Dan Lewis finishing a close second. Rounding out the podium, Rich Potempa put a well deserved TQ and win in the last round to good use and stepped up to 3rd overall. All Seson the masters saw probably the closest and largest group of racers with Bill Mclean, Chuck Mallett, Mark Unger, Allen Denzine, Dennis Young, Rick Davis..... did I mention this class had a lot of experience good job guys.
Congratulations to all the winners, thanks to all the sponsors, and hope to see all of you back next year.
