I had to give up flying to advance my racing carrier.
I probably should have kept to flying!!!!

Ken, I want to give you some positive credit for a good effort to get all the mains in this past Sunday. Putting a little flexibility into the program got us to the point that we only needed another 45 to 50 minutes to complete it. You demonstrated a willingness to listen to some people that have been there before, so you gained a lot of experience along the way with their inputs. I know you have a very tough job with this series and I am willing to lend my support when you need it.

Thanks David, the racers all stepped up to help tremendously, from being on the line in time, to the volunteers we got for the C while the Sedan A turned the cars around. Going forward I would like to use this year as a building block to formalize a few procedures or precedents, just so that for me next year, the director 10 years from now or all the racers, if an abnormality in the program arises, we will have an idea how things should be handle from race starting to rain delay/race re-runs. Just like car set-ups, write it down, helps the memory and questions later. So by all means you and everyone else flood me with suggestions. I may seem a bit flustered from time to time but I do listen and take everything into account.

Also T-Shirts will be available in Lincoln, it's looking like $15 each up to 2XL and 20 for 3XL and above, they will be available in both red or green, PLEASE MESSAGE ME WITH SIZES FOR ANYONE WANTING TO PRE-ORDER, WE WILL HAVE EXTRAS BUT PRE-ORDERING WILL MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR PREFERRED SIZE AND COLOR. A big shout out to the BCRC / Pan Car Nation guys for helping sponsor the T-Shirt program, the pan-car guys have a lot of love for this hobby.

See you all in Lincoln

The next race will at the of the Midwest Racers Organization in Lincoln Nebraska. We will be piggybacking with there Heart of America Series race there as well so racers will receive points for both series. Their program and classes mirror ours pretty well except they have a huge GT crowd and minimal PanCar, so GT guys it's be a great time to bring em out there is a spec tire of the Sweep 45 low profile available on-site, Pan Car guys it'll be a great time to score some points. Otherwise there should be minimal deviation from the way we normally run our events. There are no covered pits, you will want to bring a tent, for those of you not wanting to pit in the gravel parking lot there will be limited grass pitting at the end of the track (also a shorter walk to drivers stand). Track should be prepped by about 11 or noon that Friday weather permitting.

It was a great effort to get the amount of racing in with the conditions you faced! Great Job!

I reached out to the MRO club to ask about a certain Hotel that popped up on my Expedia search. They have a Racers Rate with Sleep Inn University. The # is 402-477-0645. Ask for the manager, Carrie and mention Heart of America Series. See all you Racers there!!

It wasn't a MWS Race this past weekend, but it sure had a vibe like it yesterday. We got a little practice in Saturday before the r*&^ moved in and washed us out. We ran the 8 heats yesterday under almost ideal conditions. Thanks to the entire One Eighth Scale Racers crew for running a great show! I'm looking forward to the trip to Lincoln for Race 2. Did a few tweaks on my AMRMito/Serpent 750 and was running close to the local Fast racers times. Cya in the CornHusker State!!

Just a note for the racers attending The next event in Lincoln next weekend. They are using the RC3 decoder box. This means the 3 wire transponders will not work. I do have a couple spares 2 wire if anyone needs some, and if anyone else has any it would be helpful to bring them. Otherwise it's looking to be a great weekend, see ya'll soon.
