Mickey, advice from my side is to not use rebound for the initial build. Did you read the tips and tricks on page 15 response #216? How do you build your shocks?

My tips to get 0 rebound is you have to remove the air air shock cap. Try it out. Is hard to get 0 rebound because the shock shaft is longer n when u push it to top, it will have gap (air trapped between piston n filled silicone oil. Serpent shocks is among the best n reliable

I followed the trips and tips guide posted within the forum for shock building. As for my earlier post, I am wanting to get 25% rebound. As of know I can get anything.

First question, why do you want rebound? Why 25%. How much travel is 25%?

Second question if you want rebound how do you add rebound?
You add a rebound guage or anything that has a fixed heigth inbetween shock shaft bottom and shock body and slowly compress the shock shaft intil it blocks. The turn the shock cap on while bleeding with the bleeding hole upwards. Then you get hydro lock as a rebound.

Third question when you race 30 minutes is your 25% rebound still there at the end?

The screw must be there. The washer is optional. If you don't use the screw it will turn to far and the castor block will be damaged as well as the cvd may bind.

If so the steering will be small even without the washer.

Today we had the first break inn of the SRX8 car from Colin Meijer and Brian Klarenbeek at the Dutch full astro turf track in Helmond @ Machone. Both cars were build according to the box set up. Only one car was equipped with 10-7-5 dif oil instead of the 7-7-5. Tyres were the Schumacher mini pins wre outer rows were removed and the outer sides prepared with cyano glue. One thing was directly clear the car was much calmer then the 2.2 Cobra S811 fully modified. Enough steering is always the first thing you will ask. One car had enough steer but we found out the limit screw in the steering block was not placed so not box set up.. The other car with the screw lacked steering. So in this car we removed the screw too. Other things we changed for the dry high grip track was to mount 2.5FR and 2.7RR mm anti roll bars. Springs and damping from the stock set up was spot on and NO REBOUND in the shocks. That is all what was changed. We also put the cars on the TECHWORKX Balance Station and the result with a full tank of Colin Meijer his car race ready. Drivers after 4 tanks of fuel were full in control and will for next weekend race start with confidence.
