How much time is on the car now? It starts hooking up better after a couple race days imo. We also run a very slippery track sometimes and have found that using the m2c weights on the rear hubs made a night and day difference. I've since removed them as we've been on higher bite surfaces but I'd say they are a great option for loose conditions. I have also used the lower inside hole on the rear camber link instead of the middle inner to create a little more side bite. I find that 7-7-4 feels great and may go up to 10 in front and or 5 in the rear to get a bit more drive, both of those should snug up the rear a little. Good luck.

Default Diff Oil

Hello All,

I would like to discuss about my finding about Mugen Diff Oil.

Since the beginning of my Venture with MBX7R, I have been using the kit oil (3.000 and 7.000 as manual suggested). And had a very good, pleasant, comforting result.

After I used up the small bottle Kit oil, I changed to my Kyosho Brand Diff Oil. I set the car with 7, 7, 3 of F, C, R as manual suggested.

And starting to realize that my car became twitchy and far not as stable as before. After further inspection, I realize that Mugen Oil is much thicker then Kyosho Oil.

Then I decided to acquire a full range of PTRC Oil from 2.000 - 20.000cst for testing. Then after a simple test, I estimated that,

Mugen 3.000 is PTRC 5.000
Mugen 7.000 is PTRC 12.000

So, is there anybody have the same experience with changing from Kit Diff Oil to Different Brand of Diff Oil?

Cheerss..

I have found similar results when change diff fluids. That's not uncommon. Its best to stick with one brand so you have something to reference. I actually thought 5k mugen ws close to 6k PT fluids from my own bench testing.
