Tekno NT48 Thread
#1231
Hello everyone,
We would like to announce that we have released a new chassis for the NT48(TKR5407):
http://www.teknorc.com/shop/tkr5407-...htened-nt48-3/
The rear engine option has been removed and the flex characteristics enhanced to greatly increase the spur gear durability. We are releasing it prior to the NT48.3 to help those of you who are having spur gear issues on large jump/rough tracks.
The new chassis combined with our new spur gear (to be released within the coming weeks) should virtually eliminate any spur gear failures for those of you having them. If you choose you can send in your old NT chassis and we will issue a coupon code for 50% off the new revised chassis. This offer will also be applicable with the spur gears once they are in stock. For more information on the warranty process please visit our website:

We thank you for your patience and support!

Great customer service Tekno.
I've been using a prototype of the new chassis and not the newest, but a revised spur gear for a couple months now and it has been bomb proof.
Probably not a good enough driver to tell everyone how fantastic the chassis is, compared to the old one, but I did win a pro truggy race in Tennessee a few weeks ago

. Note: Only won because a couple of the top "non Tekno" drivers broke

. Along with cash won a EB48.3 !!!

So being on the other side of the earth in Australia, I have 2 chassis and three spurs that i would need to send back to the usa, at that point tekno issue a 50% voucher then i can place an order for 2 chassis and three spur gears at the reduced price.......It great news if that is the case, the 5-6 week down time is not the best situation but having the problem solved would be fantastic

Good thing i ordered my M2C chassis lastnight Amain is already out of stock. I like the idea of 50 percent off when you warranty the old chassis but time is more important to me then money at this point. I only have 4 races left and i would end up missing one with the warranty process... Also why does the M2C chassis come with a quick change motor mount and weight system, where tekno only comes with the chassis... And they also beat you to the market on your own chassis upgrade... Ponders me... Even if the quick change motor mount and weight system are garbage its still cheaper then the tekno chassis. Non the less awesome truck and i cant wait to rebuild mine when all my goodies come in.

Bought a high endurance Losi clutch bell. Can't get it not to rub against shoe assembly without at least 1.2mm of shimming before the clutch bell. Does the regular Losi clutch bell fit better?

Just wanted to say thanks to paposwing14 for the Amazon link posted couple weeks ago. I too have been waiting for the nt48.3 to come out but couldn't pass up the Amazon price, thought it musta been a scam, maybe older kit, parts missing, etc, but was pleasantly surprised when it arrived, new unopened kit with revised spur and tank. With the money I've saved have already purchased the upgraded brake linkage. Also plan on on purchasing the M2C chassis, will run the kit chassis for a little while though. My question is can I run the stock chassis without the spacers as I don't want to ca something I'm gonna remove eventually? Or is there another way to attach the spacers that would be easier to remove? Looking forward to the build.
