I am the same way so far. My theory is it is due to the more rearward weight distribution on the nitro car vs the electric car (more 'swing weight', similar to the difference between rear motor cars and mid motor cars....kind of).

That makes sense.

Collet

Do the majority of people use the NT48 collet or the motor collet. My NT48 flywheel has come loose twice now. I replaced it tonight to see if that helps, but I was just wondering. I've noticed other collets and my motor collet is longer than the NT48 collet. They will ptobably extend the flywheel too much.

When you put the collet on the shaft, does it seem like there isn't much gap at the mating seam? That would do it, stops it from clamping down on the crank. You could file or sand for alittle extra gap.

Hmmm...I don't know. I didn't know to look for that. I'll have to check that out next time. Hopefully, the new collet will hold.

Tank

Has anyone had problems with the tank cracking? I was running my truggy and couldn't get it tuned. Every time it flipped it cut out so I took the tank off and it was cracked.

Prevent fuel tank breakage here. This is just page one of the thread.

Do you have the revised tank? More of a white color. The other one is more clear.

I have the white tank and it cracked at the bottom of the tank

jose valadao 04-12-2015 11:30 AM

This is the tank

Jose, it is hard to tell from the picture but that looks like an old tank which was prone to breaking. Please contact our customer service department and they can help you further.
