Is anyone going to the PNB race next week?

air8 04-13-2015 06:34 PM

I am...on LiveRc that is. I hope another major company steps up like Proline and AKA have so we get the free feed. Even though I have purchased the Bonus Laps membership for 90 percent of races over the past years, it's really awesome to watch for free.

I have run both since I broke the long one in a place that i could not see(under the mounting screw). Never really noticed a huge chassis flex difference. I just run them both now for insurance.

I noticed that also. If you look at the rest of the Enforcer line of bodies on PL's website, it looks like the engine sticks out a lot farther on all the other trucks. I think they were just trying to keep the proportions of the body in line with the other ones and didn't really take into account how much farther forward the engine is on the Tekno truck.

I don't really think it'll be much of an issue. If anything just make the fueling hole bigger to get some air flow over the head. The durability of the PL bodies compared to stock kinda makes this one worth it to me :D

I like how Proline says its better looking than stock. I personally don't think the stock body looks bad. I like both the NT and NB bodies because they are a little different than the same ol stuff that proline has been pushing out for years.

This PL body is ugly. IMO the stock body looks cooler...

0verkill 04-17-2015 08:50 PM

I think the stock body looks so much better, but this one should be more durable.

qstorm777 04-17-2015 09:21 PM

The Tekno body has grown on me. I just ordered a 2nd one a few days ago. If I knew that Proline had one out, I probably would have tried it tho. The Proline body does cover a lot of the cooling fins. I wonder just how much that affects the cooling of the motor.

motor collets

u can also use a losi collet.

guys,
not many people know this but the losi collet has a 10 degree taper
most other collets on the market are 7mm taper.
this can cause a problem with the fit and can also cause the collet to spin
if is made of brass.
You probably need to contact tekno to see what taper they used on the
flywheels,
but that being said you need to have about 1 mm from the back of the
flywheel to the front of the motor.

Hey guys having trouble with my sons truggy not hitting his OFNA starter wheel. Hes running a os .28 motor. Looks like the flywheel is to small and the flywheel hole also. Does anyone run a bigger OD flywheel or shave down the motor mounts?

good option for this problem is to use some old shock pistons and
put them under the starter box wheel mount;)
