Tekno NB48

Mine stock one isn't cracked yet=) Had some bad crashes and hard landings, but it's ok. Next days i'll make full rebuild to check for any hidden damage, but at the first glance buggy is good, the only thing i'm worrying about is box threadlock quality, looks like in very shaky connections it doesn't hold well, gonna try some AE tl.

Finally was able to run the NB48 sunday. Ran it rear engine since a lot of people here are saying that it was lacking traction in front engine mode. Had to play a little to get it working the way i liked and it paid off. The biggest improvement after playing with the shocks positionning and the brace in the rear leaving only the short one. Had some traction at the point that the car was pushing now. Played with the rear hub hinge pin postionning and helped a lot without sacrificing traction. I guess i will need to try the front engine now
I did a lot of circus figure with it and only broke the tank which i received from SD to eastern Canada in 3 days(talk about great service from Tekno!)I will probably need to get stiffer shock springs too but overall i was impressed with how it was easy to go through the rutted track we were playing on. I think i will no longer need my rc8.2...

So, another one "First race success story"
We had 1st rd of regional champ on last sunday, and it was my first race not only in race terms, it was my first time on track with NB48 at all. Track was huge and very harsh: stones with a bit of dirt and wooden borders. But buggy has shown very stable driving, actually it drives itself very well, you just need to hold RX with coolface =) Took TQ, but finished race on 2nd place due to stucked clunk in top position on last lap of first final race (we have very weird system of three finals) and mass false start in 3rd final rd, so was able to get most points only in 2nd rd. 1st place gone to man who took 2nd place in on of the nats rd. Dissapointed a bit (mostly because of bs in 3rd rd), but new tank is on the way, and i'm completely noob in nitro at all (but with good reflexes and focus), so i have many things to work with. Setup was stock from e-manual, only swapped swaybars and made 123mm rear droop.
upd: just a random pic for sunday:

Buggy tank and weight are good to go. Truggy tank is right at the limit, there is a mount inside the tank for a plug of some sort if you're over. Truggy weight is variable. I was 120g light on one scale for one race. Same scale, another race, I was well over (I think they needed to calibrate it better). That's about it.

We've seen a couple people with too much front toe not make it through. Might be best to have the 0 offset hubs on hand. The kit is stock with +2mm in front, +1mm in back.

and this would not of been possible if it was not for Answer RC UK for servos, engine and parts, VP Powermaster for Fuel, which now I am the team driver in Scotland, Vp pro though Modeltune Distribution for tyres and tools and parts, all of who have helped me out in way one or form, for which I am really grateful for and of course Tekno rc for making a world class driving buggy
A Big Thanks to you ALL I will keep up the good work
