Is the 1.5 rear toe standard for the kit. Mine came with it. If I set my toe 3 degrees as per the box setup. Does that mean in reality my toe is at 4.5.

No, the setup sheet is what you get with the +1.5 mount.

Clunk came off this afternoon, first I thought I was something wrong with the tuning on my motor, then I saw the clunk pop off inside the tank. Any tips on this?
How about the fuel line long?, are you using it like the manual says? |

I also swapped out the fuel line with Dubro Light Blue lines. I didn't like the stock lines. They were too soft and a little loose on the fittings for me. The Dubro lines are thicker and are a tighter fit on the fittings. Also swapped out the one in the tank.

Here is a pic of how I run my lines. I run a fuel filter and exhaust cooler. Some say the clunk is enough but I trust a mesh screen more than clunk. Excuse the dirty pipe. Too lazy to clean it.

Fuel line came off the nipple inside the tank, the end of the tube was perfect, was my first drive with nb48, so everything was brand new.
The stock lines are very soft and loose like you said mr240, specially on the nipple inside the tank. I was on the track this morning, I put another piece of line and the end of the fitting to make it tighter, works great so far, But also I'm gonna try different brand of line. I like the soft ones inside the tanks so the clunk can turn easily upside down. If this doesn't solve 100% the problem! I would say the fittings on the tank needs to be a little sharper. |
Not sure if it is the shape of the body, my nb48 seems to spend more time on air then my mbx7 and have a tiny parachute effect as well.......... Any idea?

I have a NB48 im converting into a GT car. So I have complete shocks front and rear, center diff, body, front bumper, shock towers, new in the bags, never assembled. Some bags are slit open but all parts are there. Oh and the complete clutch, bell, and flywheel, fuel tank. And the air filter! Pete |

I just wanted to give some feedback on the car after running it for a couple gallons. Last weekend I competed at the January Jam race at Flowood RC in MS and was the only Tekno in the expert buggy class, I ended up with a second place overall and qualified second also even though I had the fastest quailfiers and fastest combined qualifiers but the computer showed me second. The buggy drives absolutely awesome and I have been faster and more consistant with the Tekno than other previous buggies (and I've had most of the other brands). There are two things that I found that the car was very sensitive to, rear anti-squat and front toe. In the beginning my car was very loose when getting on throttle and I fought it until I went up on the anti-squat and it really locked the rear in on throttle. As for the front toe, I run on an indoor track that currently has lots of 180's so I couldn't afford to limit the steering throw so I learned that I could adjust the toe in/out by one degree and it would make all the difference. Now the fuel tank clunk line in the tank, mine fell off the second time on the track and I took an extra piece of fuel tubing and cut a small 1/8 inch piece to make like an o-ring and stretched it onto the end of the fuel line and the took small needle nose pliers and slid it back on the nipple in the tank and 2 gallons later have still not had any other issues. This is a very sold car with excellent quality and durability, it is very adjustable and gives you very good feeback from any adjustment you make. Thanks Tekno for giving us racers a great platform to compete with and look forward to see what other great things you bring to the RC world!:nod:
