I am sure they are testing CVDs and universals. you will probably see standard bones and axles as well in the future. I am currently looking around at options that will allow bones/axles for summer time to run on Derek's cars in the right conditions.

I would not hold off on buying a nitro kit if you hope to run this spring. There is no confirmed kit on the way, only prototype parts being tested. Tekno decided DNC was too big to hide everything so they just decided to roll with it. Lots of manufacturers test parts that don't end up in production and there is no guarantee any or all of the parts seen at DNC will be released either as individual parts or as kits so rest assured if you buy a kit it won't be obsolete any time soon. It takes months for molds to be made, products shipped, reach distributors, new instruction manuals, etc... So go get that nb48, you won't be let down!

Proto parts, or even newly released kit wouldn't make current NB48s any slower. It's much better to invest money into track time (tires, fuel, clutch maint., etc.) than pursuit everything new.
