Any of you guys run a kill switch? Mine came in real handy today. I never have servo problems, but tonight ended up being my lucky night lol! Pinned on the strait away, and the throttle servo failed causing it to seize in position. Turned off my remote of right away, and it killed the motor just like it is suppose too. It would have been one hell of a situation with out it lol!

I've never had a runaway thankfully. I dont run return springs and never have, just always rely on being setup and luck I guess. What kill switch are you running?

He's referring to his transmitters setting I believe. Futaba is called fail safe, it's great, if the rx and tran ever lose connection or you have a runaway, just turn off your radio and servo goes to a pre determined position, I set mine to slightly engage the brakes. Great feature to use.

Hmm, I'd trust a spring over loss of battery power any day (not that I run one ). If it had some sort of capacitor to store enough energy to return to a preset point it may have some value.

Glad I had the kill switch because that wouldn't have worked. The servo is seized..

Killer RC BumbleBee.

I do have that set, but it could not work do to the servo seizing. The kill switch is what saved the car thankfully.

I think you mean BumbleBee, the SuperBee is for gas engines, and interrupts the ignition coil. The BumbleBee (for nitro cars) stops the fuel flow, since there is no ignition coil in nitro cars.

I'll stick w my radio fail safe, it's cool but not worth $60 to me personally, plus just another thing that could fail. My savox servos seem to last great if maintained, outside of that, the futaba setting takes care of the rest.

I'm not saying you should get this super fandangle fancyness of a failsafe, but to me $60 for a failsafe to stop someone getting hurt or to stop you losing a $300-$400 engine is a fairly good price

Started my NB48 build last night. This is my third Tekno kit and each time I become more impressed with Tekno. Outstanding parts quality, ease of build, fit and finish.

it is a fun car to build!!

This car is tough. I ran it all summer and for the finals this past weekend,it got double teamed. Myself and a friend ran the car all day. I was in Intermediate and he ran Pro. 2 hours of practice,6 quals total and 2 mains totaling over 40 mins of run time. Finally brake fade and a flameout in the pit killed my A main where I was running in the top 3.

I can't say my future is in cement with Tekno because there is a huge pull for me to run Losi but I'm not sure if very man cars would of put up with the pounding this car got all year and still put up with double shifting in the main. I really do like this car!
