Great! You will love it, I also run the FX but with 704 medium header and 2100 pipe and .25-.5 head shimming, really smooths out the bottom, great for buggy, overall that engine setup took seconds off my lap times.

to the guys running rear motor have you tried the forward motor ?

did you have another body or just cut a larger hole where motor sits ?

i would like to try rear but i dont suffer at all with rear traction and i love my steering but its getting the better of me to try rear motor but dont really want a huge gap around the front of the motor by cutting the shell so much

I like the rear engine position. Although since I got my setup the way I have it now,I haven't tried it with the engine forward yet but I have been meaning to. At the time,I didn't have any setup on the car that was working to moving the engine was one of those things so I can't honestly say how much steering I might of lost. It still seems to turn great although I feel I have lost some of it,it's not enough to hurt me. But I needed rear traction.

Yes you can cut a larger hole or have a second body. I would prefer a second body. The hole I had to make was just to large to me so after this season ends in Oct. I plan to send two bodies to my painter so I don't have to deal with the large hole.

that pipe is a lot in a buggy. I tried that combo for a few and didn't get the best out of it. it was great in my truggy since that what I have been running in it but its a lot for a buggy. 2100 is decent and a 2090 is awesome

I would just get a second body. I started with the kit setup and have since settled a rear motor setup that I really enjoy. I did have to put more steering back in after making the switch but it seems easier to drive fast now.

Kit arrived, time to start building. If things go well I may just run this at JBRL this weekend.

brakes are very strong on this buggy and truggy to be honest

takes a bit to get how you want them but no problems after that even in 1 hour long mains no brake fade at all

Length of the front turnbuckles for the kit setup sure doesnt make for an easy build; killed a ballcup in the process. Is there a shorter set of turnbuckles that would be a more appropriate fit up front? What is the length of the rod (minus ballcups) supposed to be?

Yeah the factory's have to give you enough length to run all the possible locations and yet make them short enough also. The tekno ones can be a bit tight because of the extra length. Use a body ream to chamfer the rod ends before you screw in the turn buckle and use some Chapstick or other lube.

Those are all things I do on every build, still a pain in the butt to thread an inch of rod in each cup. Hopefully I can find some ballcups locally (hoping Revelation has some).

On the plus side, the 17mm servo saver nut was brilliant!

I started out midmotor for the winter indoor season. I then went to rear motor when we went outside BUT with the setup i have now i ended up going back to midmotor. I think that midmotor is where its at with this car when you get the setup right. I have been on some really low traction tracks and still have more than enough grip.
