In all seriousness I haven't either, but I think the knowledge and thought of security that it won't strip is what matters.

Additionally, I think they did a great job on all their vehicles. Any true issues they have fixed, and the customer service is great. Also the team drivers at the races have been great in helping or giving advice.

What if anything would I like to see... as for improvements, some of the stuff covered in the first post as standard (3x40 socket screws for supsension blocks etc..)

Yes and yes.

Yes and yes. I personally do not understand either of these areas in the market today, but maybe it's just me. I want a GOOD collapsible pair of stands that take up little space. I also want a GOOD rubber mat (not the junky foam ones), with screw sections, that is BIG (24x48 would be a good start). Both of these really seem to be virtually non-existent without some custom work or major expense.

Again, maybe me, but I don't understand why the hobby seems to be void of the items at a decent price.

The upgrade rc one is sectional. its nice and I've had mine for about 5 years.

A thicker stock body would be nice. Also maybe the same brake pads of the Mugen.

Thinking about switching from the 8ight 3.0 to this buggy. Love the losi just don't like the quality. Can anyone who has switched please give me pros and cons. Thanks.

Ahh Yes, I have two of theirs including the interlocking. They aren't bad, but still would prefer something bigger.

Another day of testing and tuning in the books...

Lompoc Valley RC track, 2 NB48s with almost exact setups and a different brand 8th scale.

Started where I left off last week, Tekno 2 same but 7,5,3 in diffs (mine 775). So awesome being able to hand off controllers and feel a setup change right away and compare. 7,5,3 on our track... a little too fast in the rear.

Change 1 on my car - removed steering limiters, max steering. Verdict, really hooks (whips rear end) as speed slows.. little more twitchy.. went from EPA Value of 76 to 100 with the change, backed this to 85, gave me the extra steering I was looking for without to much hook or twitch.

Change on car 2 - running inner on rear hubs. Driver 2 report, wow.. much more forgiving, rear doesn't want to fly around.. My test of his car, rear was planted...

Change 2 on my car - inner hubs + more mechanical steering - GOLDEN. The change of stability with braking, acceleration, on power turn, off power turn, bumps and jumps, all better. Was a near night and day difference. This on hard packed dry track with tons of loose dust and almost bald VP Pro Turbo Traxx... and it was still consistent and drivable. 2 and 3 driver, said it was near perfect and that the PICCO was awesome to boot

The other 8th scale, old standard setup, I did 3 laps and handed the controller back and said... nope

Had some big hits on a wall on the back of the track, we all expected it to emerge from the weeds broken... nope. Only issues today, front diff cup and rear moved forward on pinion shaft, fixed (will rough the area when I tear the buggy down for cleaning. And broke a steering post bearing... tightened the brace down without the bearing in the bell-crank housing (pinched it between alum servo saver part and chassis...) BUT... has a spare haha

I really wanted to reserve my opinion on this buggy until it's first big race, but I will say now that I have had other cars on the track, and all of us at race pace, I can truly say I am faster with it... Will it be a game changer for me like the Truggy... we'll see in 2 weeks..

So for those keeping track... setup changes are as follows:

Sway bar swap, front to rear, rear to front
All shocks stood up one hole on tower
Rear running inner hinge pin hole at hubs
Steering Limit Screws- (my screw + washers are removed) would say equiv. to 1 washer or screw with no washer.

I will also say at times... was craving a 14t clutch bell.. our track is a bit tighter...

Ok so it's sounding like I need to try this inner hinge location on the hubs.

Why is it making the feel more planted ? Any one have any ideas why ?

And really if it's working on buggy should we be trying it on truggy as well ?

Shorter A-arm location squares the car up on throttle. It does work on the truggy as well but can make them feel a bit to locked down on high bite.

I am already running it on the truggy....

I wonder if these same changes will have a similar effect on the EB48.....I recently got one for my son, and we've only had one day at the track with it. He says he likes the way it drives, but I can see that the tail is still a bit loose exiting corners on power.

The track we're going to this weekend is loose, so I'll try the inner location on hubs first, followed by diff oil change. I've already installed screws and washers in the arms to limit steering while he gets used to running e-buggy (he has run 4WD SCT for the past couple of years)
