Or its already to tight........I have found that is the biggest problem when eating bearings

so you guys dont think its a chassis flex issue chewin bearings from the twisting of the gear mesh ?

It's def a shim issue, my OS Speed would eat bearings all day but my RB never needs bearings and it's cus the shim and bell set up are better on my RB engine

ok i though i had enough play in the bell to when it heated up it would get too tight but i guess not. was runnin a lil lean in the main Saturday so maybe got hotter then it should have.. But i was savin gas...

The bearings don't last long at 350 + on the motor... sillly

i used to chew through them as well when i was shimmed to tight

i now make sure i have play and they have been fine getting nearly a mouth of us out of them compaired to only a couple of 10 minute races

but yeh looser is working for me

Just finished painting my new body over the weekend. Already showed the Tekno team but figured other NB48 drivers may like some pics for ideas for their own kit.

Tekno.... When are we going to see a fix for the diff shims? I have been replacing my dirty black diff oil and replacing with new shims after every other day of racing and I am sure that with all the metal in the oil the gears and cross over shafts will be the next thing to replace.

Why are you replacing diff shims. Are you leaking diff oil.

agreed mine was the 1st batch out of factory and 4 months or so and i open diffs and there still full dirty yes but full no leaks

kind of a bit lost on these diff shims every one is talking about ?
