there is nothing wrong with the plastic on this car, the front arms warp pretty easily, but im using the cf arm stiffners now and that stops that and i think my car drives better with them, Ive been running intech since january and love the car

I have all the stock plastics on my cars since new. Never given me a problem or noticed any warping.

i only noticed the arm warping fast once outside temp got in the 90s plus

only issue I have had is the radio tray probably because I have taken it out so many times. The screws are now very loose. Any tips on keeping them tight? Tried longer ones which worked for a while now the same. Might just put another tray in. Could do with some alloy posts? As for arms etc I have never had an issue and the car is solid!

Intech BR-6 Roller

Hey guys. I have a BR-6 posted on the for sale thread for $165 shipped. I have some unexpected expenses pop up so I have to liquidate some R/C stuff asap.

The plastics on the BR-6 are very good. I have only had one failure and I definitely deserved it. I have never owned a MBX6 but I did have a MBX7 before switching the to the Intech car. I loved the MBX7 and thought no other car could ever compare .. so it was a hard choice to switch to a new car.. but I am glad that I did! The Intech is an amazing car you won't be disappointed.

I have had the front arms warp on me too. When I am not running the car.. i store it with the shocks unbolt from the shock tower so there is no pressure on the arm. Any RC car arm will warp if there is constant pressure on it from the shock/spring and the droop screw.

Does anyone know of a way to over drive the front of the car? That is something that I would like to try.

speedy2 09-04-2013 05:46 AM

a guy here has a BR-5 gear 40/12 and pinion up front , diffs 7/5/4
pulls the rear around, drives like a slot car but front tires are ballooning a lot

masher81 09-04-2013 09:27 AM

40/12 and 43/10 is a HUGE jump. I would think that is to much? I could see 40/10 maybe? I was looking at other brand's diffs to see if I could make something work. Maybe a mugen diff.. or a hotbodies.

I agree.

Maybe another brand will fit but I have not tried any.

Thanks for the info. My car is really good right now.. so the over drive is probably not needed.. but i like to play:)

Thanks for the reply about the Intech vs. Mugen. Leaning towards a Intech next season!

i have been running the br 5 for about 2 and half years and to be honest the darn thing just will not wear out, replace the chassis from time to time and some plastic parts and it just keeps going. kind of amazing really. the best i have got shocks to work has been with 4 hole 1.5 mil. piston {just glue up two of the holes in the 6 hole 1.5 piston} i use between 37.5 and 45 weight depending on weather. less chassis slap and goes thru the woops pretty well. that my 2 cents try it if you are bored .tim
