In a nut shell:
- Fuel tank. See a few threads above where there is a link that shows you how to fit a Hot Bodies D8 tank to the RC8.2. The stock ones tend to have air leaks.
- Kyosho Lt Blue springs and some 8 x 1.3 pistons.
- Avid rear shock tower gives you the "zero" hole mod for the inner camber link. Or just drill the zero hole in a stock tower.
- Avid 1mm offset inserts for the rear can be used to change the role center.
- Make sure your rear hubs have three holes for the camber link and use the inner hole. The new plastic ones have three holes and the aluminum ones have all along.
- the optional FT steering rack is supposed to be good too.
It's a decent car, have fun!

Speaking of which, has anyone tried these springs:

I like that there supposedly the same as the Lt Blue Kyosho, which work well, but these are NOT Kyosho. I'm going to try them...

Guys we all know that the associated "prototype" that they used at the 2014 Dirt Nitro challenge and soon the all in awesome Nitro blast!! I know...everyone knowsw that it will never be as good as the Kyosho and mugen!!! the best 2 kit's in my opinion in
1. MP9 tki-III
2. MBX7
Everyone is going to hype the "prototype" when it comes out and it's going to maybe be in the same game as a tlr 8ight 3.0 but never as good as the mugen and kyosho stuff. Everone hyped the Rc8 then the Rc8.2 and when it came out it was not as good as they thought. If your looking in th market for a 1/8 nitro
Quality and preformance: Kyosho
Preformance durability: Mugen
Easy to drive: D812
Aggresive Driving style: Durango DNX408 v2
Associated needs a lot of work for all there 1/8 kits both buggy and truggy, electric and nitro. And the only people that really can make associated not look bad in nitro races are all the factory drivers, but any locall racer or racer that wants a 1/8 buggy don't bother with those cars. That's my opinion
