I built my stock diffs with one less shim behind the ring-side sun gear, still running them like that, smooth as butter.

Stock diff case I put two shims behind and its smooth also. But when I tried thesame configuaration with Fioroni Lightweight Diff Case its kinda tight. I will remove one shim and see what happens.

The cases may be slightly different lengths or have slightly different tolerances as they are different materials/manufacturers. I wouldn't sweat removing a shim though.

On the RC8b, can you put the new shock towers on this car?
Looking to buy a used one or the RC8be for cheaper and use the new shock towers, and then just replace the other parts as needed.

Rob- With the newer front and rear shock shafts and the new arms, yes, the towers will bolt right on. Also use the newer boots, the older boots will not allow enough up travel.

Can the world's towers be used with 8.2 arms? I have the world's kit, but I'm limited to one set of arms...

The new style boots that come on the 8.2 are much thinner then the old stlyle ones thus much less binding but they are much less durable. As much as I was always against this in the past I stoped using boots period.

I hear you and I like I said I use to be totally against it too. After each run or 2 I inspect my internals in my shocks and put in fresh shock oil. So far I havent had any problems.
