the brakes on the hara do this when new i noticed. its the way the light weight cams are made they work either way there pushed. i glued small pieces of lexan to my diff top plate to stop the brake wire from going in opposite direction when throttle is applied.

It's most likely bc your rods are dragging to hard on the cam leevers. May have to rotate them a little, or possibly even 180 so they don't drag. Or you could just shim the rod holders on the servo arm itself

I noticed this too, great idea to put a stopper. did they design is like this so you can use the other side when it "wears" out?

i have no idea how to fix this. i've spent four hours trying to fix it but still when I accelerate my throttle servo the brakes are applied. it's ashame if I can't get this fixed by sunday as I was really looking forward to racing this buggy. Never had this issue with the RC8B and I sold that last week. Dam!!

did you test it with just the servos turned on? push the car by hand, and when you apply throttle, the car just stops dead?
also, take a look at the pic above. if yours look exactly like that, you should have no issues. did you use the outer most hole on the servo arm? did you measure 7mm(i think) clearance for the metal shoe? the stopper is a good idea though.

Grind the opposite side of the brake cam where it's hitting the caliper so that it can't engage while on throttle. There is no use for that side of it anyway.

I emailed my team manager the other day regarding tires, wheels, foams, etc and he said they will be in early April.
I'm assuming parts will show up then too. I'll send him another email and confirm. With the Hara car just coming out late last year, I doubt they are discontinuing parts.

i think the parts situation is just due to the time of the rear. everyone is buying parts up left and right to get ready for the summer. I know i stocked up

This happens every year with parts because nitro season is starting up around the country.

I when I got my D8 (the original) I got the lighweight cams (same as the Hara) and had the same problem. It is caused by one of two things (or both): 1) you have to make sure the brake linkages are running straight from the servo horn through the "loops" the control the brake cams. 2) Make sure there is no drag on the "loops" when the trottle is open. If there is, you do not have it set right. Try loosening one or both of the set screws and readjusting the angle (and/or length) of the loops.

Those steps should fix your problem. It took me awhile to get it set right, and asking questions out here to get it solved. Worked like a champ ever since. No need to shave anything, it is simply a "drag" issue when you apple the throttle.

Hope this helps.

There are tons of parts available. Check various online shops and even EBay. Why would you restrict yourself to just the HB factory site?
