Question Gene,
I have run allot of different VP tires over the last year, and like the performance of them (they are a great tire), but all with Buggy tires.

I have jumped back into running truggy and ordered a set of Turbo Traxx Med Flexx. They seem to be allot harder than the buggy Med-Flexx Axemen, Raptors, etc... that I have.

Is it a different rubber between the buggy and truggy tires? Or is it the construction of the tire (thicker, stiffer sidewalls, etc...) that I am noticing?

What color dot is on the side wall of the tire?

You can't compare compounds with 2 different tread patterns.

But MF Turbo Trax are awesome nearly every where. If the track is real slick, the get UF Turbo Trax. The cutoffs work good on dusty and loose tracks too.

The truggy turbo trax have different pin spacing and height, so they will feel a little different.

Yellow Dot is Medium Flexx.

I actually like Low Flexx (Red Dot) Truggy Turbo Trax alot. Last a very long time and very consistent traction. ; )

Look at some of the tire choices....what do you guys feel is the difference between the Cutoff and Axeman? Going to a track where Losi Eclispe is the tire choice but I was thinking about running the VP tires there and was trying to figure this out...

Thanks

I use both tires. I like the cutoffs when small pin just don't hook up enough but big pins are too much. The cutoffs are right between. I've never run any Losi tires so can't give you a good comparison there but won't there be some open practice for you to try both?

VP-Pro had a great weekend all around.

Josh Wheeler TQ'd and Won both Pro Truggy and Pro Buggy with VP-Pro tires at the RC Pro Series!

He used Turbo Trax in truggy and Blades/Axman in buggy.
