my very first race with the truck i wasnt used to how this turns and i was racing on a small track and i kept over turning and going over the pipe and lost time having to come back over it |
Yes, I have some "problems" off turning around in the corners, like if the tail is pulling too much and making spin. I belive this is a driving style issue and with practice i would be able to control. But if not I will put softer oil in the center diff.
Another practice question.... How do you turn the servo saver nut? I can`t do it with my hand and I cant find an easy way to do it. In my old 1.0, i do it with a clamp, but this strip all the nut and take me time.. is an easy way?? |
I took the servo saver out and used a rag around the alloy collar with some plyers and the rag stops the alloy getting marked and squeeze it gently and turns easily.:)

8t 2.0
I agree the truck is great I will be the first to say that racing isn't racing without alittle fine tuning. The few things that I have done to the truck I feel have been minor. Milling the shock towers was more for the fact that I don't have to cut or rig up bolts if I need one I can just use a stock one with no worries, and the hub mods well for that I have ran over a gallon on the truck (2 days of practice and 2 race days with A main runs) and havn't had any bearings fail sense I did the mod. So all I can say is losi hit a home run with me on this truck because it is a very nice piece that works very well.

yes the Losi stuff is very very well engineered and I have owned quite a few truggys and they all need a bit of finetuning for sure.
Getting a friend to mill out the hubs for me but bearings held up good at the weekend but pays to be safe and our racing was muddy the first couple of heats as we had a lot of overnight rain and rain prier but were blessed with a lovely day for racing and come the main it was perfect and a perfect win for my first time out:nod: |
1.0 engine mount on 2.0
does the engine mount from 1 work on the 2
|
they used the same motor mounts from the old version to the new one
|
are you all replacing the 8T 2.0 stock servo saver spring with the spring from the original 8T? if so, anyone have a part number? I can't seem to find it online...thanks!

the servo saver breaking. i saw many of go last weekend at motorama. word is by changing the servo saver spring from the 2.0 version to the 1.0 version that it helps keep them from breaking. now i know people r goin to say well they had the spring too tight. which that maybe so i would just like to have alittle piece of mind.
