I just rebuilt my front, center and rear diffs. Question I have is the front diff suppose to be much smoother than the rear when out of the truggy? (meaning when its built and placed back in the gearbox and the cvd drive is spun by hand). I feel as if the front diff gearbox spins smoother than the rear. The rear appears to have a slight gritty "feel" to it. I made sure it was shimmed properly so I know it was assembled correctly in regards to gear mesh, just kind of curious if what I'm experiencing is correct in regards to build. I have yet to take her out for a test spin so any feedback would be awesome guys! :)

In preperation for the 2011 season, I figured I would try something that I have been wanting to try for a while now... Im an engineering student and the hundred bucks for a lightened chassis could be spent better (boose and buss passes xD) So I took my spare 2.0 RTR chassis and milled it out, Havent weighed it, but it should be the same weight or less than the Tuned flex chassis as the pockets I milled are deeper.... No real rhyme or reason for the placement of the pockets, But i tried to keep some stiffness in it :)
All done by hand on a 50 year old bridgeport mill.

Thanks for placing my mind at ease...and its things like this that make a race roller not so great. The concept of knowing how things "feel" the first time during a build and getting aquainted with your truggy/buggy. Makes me feel like a dead beat dad that missed out on a kids life from birth to the age of 12 than trying to get to know them...makes it difficult.

As far as I know he has, I'd love to but I need a job first.

King Heads Engine Mount

Will the Losi quick change upper engine mount fit the K/H lower mount? I have the quick change in both buggy and truck and wanted to try the extended mount.

Just trying to save about $40.

Thanks alot bro. Like I said earlier, I'm just tryin to save a few bux. Expecting my SCTE any time now and could use that cash for those adjustable hinge plates.

No, it will not, the pins that line up are different size, don't remember which way, I have both, KH and Losi, I wanted to try it also.

deadmancourt 03-01-2011 12:50 PM

i just wanted to pop in and ask everyone's opinion on the adjustable braces (mainly the rear 1's)...i only run the INNER rear adjustable brace...and with 1's in it(per drakes setup sheet)....but im just wondering what changing the anti squat does?....i know what the Toe angle does...just never got the anti squat thing:lol:

Donat 03-01-2011 01:05 PM

How should i set ride height on my 8T while using skid plates? If setup says 36mm should i have a 36mm gap between ground and chassis or ground and skid plate?
