The only stuff thats necessary are the following: alum servo saver top, alum rear gearbox inserts, khz quick change engine mount and either modded rear hubs (larger outter bearing) or Khz rear hubs. Everything else is just for bling. I would also recommend khz toe plates front and rear inner and outer, alum top plate and alum center diff mount, but these are not necessary. I have tried just about every option part there is on this truck and like stated above, most is not necessary.

What do you mean by servo saver top? I just got the Hudy Aluminum Servo Horn, would that be the same thing you mentioned???

Nevermind...I went to KHZ site and saw the servo saver top...I know exactly what piece you are referencing, I just ordered it...Thanks a million!

No it's not the same thing, the servo saver top is the part that the steering linkage attaches to at the other end from the servo horn.

Why do people do that. The cooler does nothing, and the tank has a filter already. Putting a inline fuel filter/exhaust cooler is just adding places where an air leak can start. With the Losi, just run the line from the tank to the tank next to the muffler, and remove the tank plug. You will be right around Max capacity.

For the 8T 2.0 roller, the only must haves are AL servo horn, AL servo saver top arm, and AL rear bear inserts. Other then that, the EU foams cut to 5mm, then drill a small hole in the shock cap and your golden.

what size arm reamer is for the losi. Inner thanks

The Hudy arm reamers are worthless. All of the reamers like the Hudy are worthless. They are just below 4mm, so they wont work. You best bet is looking for a Straight Fluted Reamer that is barely over 4mm. PM me, and i will get you the size i use. It is just over 4mm, and make the suspension move free even when dirty. Probably my 3rd favorite tool i have ever bought.

Thanks! I figured it out. ;) Like to add that this site has been a wealth of knowledge and all you folks have been super friendly.

What is the EU foam that you are referring to? Also exactly "WHERE" do you drill a small hole in the shock cap and "WHY"...just trying to get a better grasp of what I'll be doing here. Thanks a bunch!

i agree that more air leaks are possible with that set up.. but the extra fuel capacity is nice

juggaloracer198 01-03-2011 09:51 AM

that was weird
