We could make a similar video:
"I want a losi 8ight T-2.0" "Is that a losi 8ight T-2.0?" "I don't care, I want a losi 8ight-T 2.0"

when it comes to hinge braces.. what does the 3T/3A stand for?

i think stock is 3.5T/3.0A, but everyone's choice is 3/3.. whats the difference?

T stands for TOE. And A stands for ANTI-SQUAT......

3 degrees of toe in, 3 degrees of anti squat. It's all about the angles of the rear hinge pins. Toe in means the rear tires are angled in towards each other on the front edge 3 degrees. Anti squat is the angle of the hinge pins from front to rear compared to being on the same plane as the chassis plate. In other words the front of the rear hinge pin is angled up 3 degrees compared to the rear of that pin. Losi 8's seem to function better with less rear toe in, hence the 3* instesd of 3.5*. If you study the last couple pages of the owners manual it explains what all that does pretty well.

As for hopups I would recommend the following:
  • kHz inner and outer hinge pin plates
  • Alum rear gearbox inserts
  • kHz sevo saver (look at which version you have the 2.0 comes to a point and the 1.0 is more rounded)
  • kHz quick change engine mount
  • Alum front top plate
  • kHz rear hub carriers or plastic modded to accept 8x16 bearings
  • I personally like the inclined spindles and carriers, some don't
  • Vented shock caps and bladder compensators
  • v2 rear shock tower
The 2.3 front sway bar is nice too. I think that's it I like more bling so I added more but more is not necessary.

ok, i know i should write them down, but i keep forgetting..

8 dog bones. losi doesn't sell new pins.. xray, and mugen do. i think crowd favorite is mugen. 0270's.. i think, 270's for drive line, and 271's for wheels..

if the bone rides in the out drives.. will it hurt if one is alittle longer than the other?

for example.. assuming their both 3mm pins, ones longer than the other.. only needing to stock 1 size pin..

and part number verification please.

FYI..

0270's are 3x12.8MM
0271's are 3x13.8MM

so, the extra 1MM in length in either drivelines to center diff. or axle shafts into F/R outdrives?

Thanks Frank..I have some of the hop ups already..
I have the KH motor mount, V2 rear tower, Losi alum. Rear hubs, alum bearing adapters..im also running the front smart diff..works great for me, my Losi is a converted 1.0..but it's pretty much a
complete conversion..I even changed the diff
housings, I'm still using the 1.0 steering..and I need to change the shock caps to the new style..I'll be out to run with you guys at CVR next year....but thanks for the info..

ive been looking into this +2mm hub extensions.. some only run them in the front, some run them all the way around... does this effect tech inspection as far as them running the jig over the car, and it being to wide to pass tech with these extended hubs?

i don't race that often, but i would hate to drive on extended hubs, practice on extended hubs.. then have to remove them, and race on new setup just for tech.
