When I fitted the rubber grommets I noticed the servo had too much side movement, especially on steering.
I needed to do up the 4 servo screws fairly tight.Main reason would be the servo saver has been done up tight and no longer works as a saver. I could not see the rubber grommets being beneficial as the rubber is hard and virtually does no dampening and only creates around 2-3 mm side movement. |
Use the Grommet's....They are Included for a REASON.

No grommets for me. I've never used them. Probably not the right way to do it, but I haven't had a servo failure for years so I'll keep doing it the wrong way.

you should try em!...:sneaky:.....hey i was wondering:confused:....do you guys set ride height with a FULL tank of gas or like 3/4 full?...cause you only run a FULL tank during a race for about 3-4 laps PER fill up....so that would mean your ride height will rise as the race goes on....
1/2 tank  |

Servo saver springs do wear out, along with the entire bellcrank assembly. If you find that you need to lock down the servo saver to get sufficient steering, you should consider replacing the assembly. In addition, setup changes are prob worth investigating. |
Most of the guys I talk to at the track lock down the saver.
I do run a 480oz around 32kg torque servo. My saver has been locked down since day one from new. |
