Most guys I race with run long wear Losi or the Dynamite max life w/green and gold springs. Perform and last great. Cant go wrong with this set-up

I had a pro painter do 2 bodies for me earlier this yr and I sold them after 1 run. I think the wraps hold up much better.

Do you get total coverage with the wraps or should you paint the inside of the body one solid color so as not to have any clear spots?

the only thing i dint like about the max life shoes were they seem hard on clutchbells compared to what im using now med king headz shoes.

i run two alum 2 comp, with 2 green and 2 gold, alum flywheel, tko special bearings, 13/50 gearing. I get about 2-2.5 gallons out of my clutch, i clean and measure the clutch after a day of racing, i toss them at 23.4 or sooner. Ive tried 4 alum shoes, i did gain a tad more bottom but wasnt worth the life i gave out of the clutch and it slagged the bell pretty good. if you have a good truggy engine my setup works great. if your tryin to use a weak engine then yea go to all alum or bump up the springs

ha yea i know my rb hobby 9 (s5) doesnt have a stong bottom thats why i have to use alum shoes.

the robinson bells hold up real good with alum shoes.

i have tried this set up as well. king headz wear fantastic, slag really doesnt build up as bad but they slip too much imo. i couldnt find the right combo of springs and compound on the shoes to get a good feel

i did actally think they were slipping after about 4 minutes into a race im not sure if it was the springs or the fact that i needed new ones they dont last a gallon really. so i guess with the med shoes you should use heavyier springs ?

but during, one of my mains my gear mesh did get loose how fun was that lol i was like why im i not having much punch .

I just got a wrap from them for next year. Just one of there cheap premade ones.

Hope it holds up well cause I am sick of $70 paint jobs that look like crap after a couple races. It does add alot of weight though so if you are a gram counter you may not like them

Dave they do look a little better if you paint them 1 or 2 colors bit it's not necessary. I think on the truggy you just have to paint the front 1/2. But check it out sat. I'll bring a couple different bodies for you to see. Cary ru s one too. That pink and black scheme is an upgrade wrap.

Yeah the stock ones that Upgrade has are pretty nice as well. There only like 30 bucks, which is pretty inexpensive. Thanks for the pic.
