I use to mount them on the mount but under closer tk the chassis but since I started using the ko radio the receiver is so small the transponder actually fits in the radio box with it. But I plug it into the receiver

Here is a buggy, but they are the same. They all mount there on the 8's. Borrowed this pic from somewhere else on the forum.

You can mount it on top like that, or even better, use the same mounting holes in the radio tray, but mount it on the bottom. It will be closer to the timing loop for cleaner reception with the timing system and it will also keep the center of gravity lower on the chassis.

I have a spektrum sr3100t reciever. what port should I plug it into? The only open ports I have is a 3.3 volt port or the bind port

It should be plugged into the 3rd channel or "AUX" channel on the spektrum receiver.;)

Then where should the reciever battery be plugged into?
