I have the same question. Can anyone with a 8ight 2.0 and a losi starter box tell us if it works like the 1.0 did>>>

Alright guys i have a little info for yall. You have to go through this thing alot of untightened screws and the rear shock eyelets where the shaft threads on came off of three truggy's running today. Once they were replaced everything was all good. You will love the truggy once you go thru it,it drives unbelieveable. Plenty of steering and jumps like a buggy. Yes the starter box works!

I have had no luck as of late getting new toys. I went to pick my 8t 2.0 up yesterday at the hobby shop, I open the box so some other customers could see it. Inside the box my truck was dislodged (tie straps broken) and both my left side shock shafts were pulled out of the eyelets. I work at the hobbyshop so I immediately jumped on the phone to our sales rep. He asked if I would like the truck replaced, I told him it wasn't a big deal and I just asked him to send me out new eyelets and boots to replace the broken stuff.
Rear boots aren't available until next week but I don't intend to race until next weekend. I am going to tear the truck down and rebuild it before it hits the track, I ain't taking no chances.

i know this is a nitro thread, but is anyone running electric with the 8T 2.0?

also, there were 2 8T 2.0 at the track today. this guys said he striped out the plastic shock ball joint because of the stock droop. he had to increase droop to prevent it from happening again...

I"m assuming the shock ends where not threaded on completely, correct?

As for the loose screws, well, I guess it's better than a few overtightened screws and stripped plastic parts.

I was hoping to have mine yesterday, but they're a no-show here in New England.

Can someone comment on the build quality of the 8t2.0? I heard the old Losi Eight used to get a bad case of slop. Did they fix that issue with the 2.0 versions?

I am strongly considering buying an 8t2.0 in the next week or so. I now drive an xray 808 and very impressed with the quality of the car, so that is my base of comparison right now. I drove an rc8 most of the year and also considering the rc8t, but to be honest, I found the rc8 to be a little weak in the quality department. That car would break if you looked at it wrong, so the rc8t is a little low on my list now.

I like the Losi because it is almost perfectly setup for an electric conversion balance wise. Other than the Losi, I am waiting to see what Xray did to the x8t which they are suppose to announce next week.

Thanks.
