So how do I get those darn tyres of the rim. Not just one but 10 sets of 4.
Any tips or already posted thread nrs.

thanks
Way back when I used Acetone. I took an metal coffee can (empty) and put enough Acetone in it to cover the wheel, then covered the can so the Acetone doesn't evaporate and it helps keep the fumes down. It didn't hurt the rubber or the wheel. The foam will be toast, but that beats buying new sets or a bad hand cramp...........

I just found out on a different thread that you don't have to cover the tire. The fumes do the work.....

I'm sure it's more functional than good looking, it's just reminds a little too much of the flatbed truck I drove years ago. Once I get it and have it painted, I know I will like it. As long as the truck is an improvement over the previous one is what matters most anyway.

Springs from the 8T fit on the 8T 2.0.

TRUST ME on this. If you want to Re-use your tires AND wheels here is what you do. Get a flat pan or cookie sheet and put your 4 tires/wheels on it. Preheat your oven to 350F degrees and put your tires in the oven for 15 minutes. After the 15 minutes is up pull one out (make sure you have gloves on they are HOT) and push the rubber down off the bead. If it comes off easy go ahead and do the other side and the other tires. If not put them back in for another 5 minutes and retry. I have dont this to close to 10 sets now and what happens is the heat actually "crystalizes" the glue and its virtually all gone when you seperate. You may have to do a tiny bit of clean up work if you had excess glue but TRUST ME it works! The only side affect is your house will stink like rubber for a couple hours but it doesn harm your oven at all. If your tires dont pop right off the bead make sure to put them back for another 5 minutes or else the rubber will tear and stick to the rims. In some cases I had to heat the oven up a little hotter to 375 or 400 even but rarely needed to go that hot.

Ive always done the boiling water method,Put your tires in boiling water for 10 minutes pull out with gloves take the tires apart and let the foams dry out and your good.It seems to soffen the tire a little but thats ok.

they are very inconsistantly made. you will get sets of them that are too hard and some that are too soft. They are also heavier than a standard cut foam or AKA style foams. I have seen them split right in half at the molding line. plus they really aren't made for lpr tires. They also don't hold up to moisture like they should seeing as to they are molded. that was the big advantage of molded foams. that they lasted a long time and resisted moisture. The prolines don't really do any of that. also because of the inconsistancy they are often severly out of ballance. I don't use them.

Thanks for the info! I did tear a foam not too long ago while mounting a brand new set of M3's. Mounting the tires the night before the race I had no choice but to cut a foam out of a set of bowties that I don't use .
I think we better get back on topic.

I got my 8ight T 2.0 on backorder!!

I am ordering mine tomorrow. I was gonna do it last night but I might get the 2.0 buggy at the same time. I really want the pair but I'm not sure if I'm getting the buggy right away.
